What is The Venue Playbook?
The Venue Playbook sells editable contracts, email templates and trackers for wedding venue owners, and offers consulting for people starting or running a venue. Everything was built for a working wedding venue first, then adapted for others. It is a brand of Montgomery Biz Consulting LLC.
Who is behind The Venue Playbook?
Aanya, who helped build a wedding venue from bare land and runs its administrative, legal and operations side. You can read more on the About page.
How much does a wedding venue consultant cost with The Venue Playbook?
Opening Day, a virtual launch plan for new venues, is $1,450 or 2 payments of $725. Buttoned Up, a contract and policy session for operating venues, is $1,250 or 2 payments of $625. Groundwork, in-person help in North Texas, is $750, $2,250 or $3,650 depending on the tier, plus mileage.
What's the difference between Opening Day and Groundwork?
Both are for people starting a venue. Opening Day is fully virtual: a 90-minute working call and a written launch plan, available anywhere in the U.S. Groundwork is in person: we walk your property, and the higher tiers add a written plan, the Playbook Suite and coaching calls.
Do you travel for site visits?
Yes. The Venue Playbook is based in Melissa, Texas. Within 200 miles, travel is billed as mileage only at $0.67 a mile round trip. Farther trips are possible, with flights, a rental car and one night of lodging billed at cost.
Can I pay in installments?
Opening Day and Buttoned Up can be paid in full or in 2 payments, and the total is the same either way. Groundwork takes a $250 deposit to secure your date, credited toward the total.
Are the contract templates legal advice?
No. The Legal Playbook documents are templates, and venue law varies by state. Have your own attorney review your final documents before you use them.
What format are the templates in?
The contracts and emails are editable documents you download right after purchase. Booked Up and the Lead Tracker are spreadsheets that work in Excel and Google Sheets.
What if a file is broken or not as described?
Email thevenueplaybook.co@gmail.com within 7 days of purchase and you will get a fix or a refund, no questions asked.
Do you help with venue pricing or marketing?
No. The Venue Playbook focuses on operations: contracts, policies, client and vendor communication, and bookings.
